On The Puppy Hunt… Again!
So I’ve always wanted at least two beagles. When Talyn was around I had always planned on adding a second dog to the mix, but there was always an excuse why it was never a good time to get another one. But after I lost Talyn, I didn’t want to make that same mistake again. His death showed me how fragile life is and how one should never wait to do the things one wants in life. So now that Dax is old enough and his basic training is complete, I started my search for another beagle puppy…
I kept in touch with a few of the beagle breeders I had spoken with when I was looking for Dax. One breeder in particular really stood out. I knew from our first e-mail exchange that I would want a beagle from her. Her name is Julie Cheng from Auburn Beagles. When I told her the life I had with Talyn, her response stuck with me:
Wow, Tracy, thank you for sharing your life with Talyn. You are every dog breeders dream home, you did so much together with your dog, he must be in doggie heaven now saying what a good doggie life he had.
With all my research on beagle breeders in the area, I always seemed drawn back to her website. So I kept an eye out for any up coming litters. When I checked the other day and saw she was planning three litters, I knew I had to have one! So today I sent my deposit for another little beagle puppy! I am so excited for the new edition, and I have already told Dax about his little brother!

We’re also looking for a beagle pup here in the Bay Area. Julie is out of puppies. Anybody else you’d recommend?
I have a list of all the beagle breeders I have found. http://tmdbeagles.wordpress.com/about-beagles/breeders-rescue/ I would recommend Just-Wright Beagles or Starrinite Beagles. I haven’t delt with the other breeders. Hope this helps.
Tracy, Neither of your recommended breeders currently have puppies nor anybody else on the list you provided. Do you know anybody else?
you can do what I did, and contact all the breeders on the list to look for any breeders with puppies. If you have to have a beagle right this minute, then you can alway rescue: http://www.norcalbeagles.com/
Hi Tracy, I found a beagle pup from Julie Wright thanks to your breeder list. I live in Redwood City. Which vet do you use? any veg recommendations for us?
I don’t have any vet recommendations. I still use the vet I had when I lived in the east bay. I just would strongly *NOT* recommend Companion Animal Hospital in San Carlos. They are terrible. Good luck with your search.
